Charity Walk

The R.W.M has announced his wish to complete The Great Glen Walk for charity this year. The date is expected to be during September- please contact the RWM if you wish to join him.

Rumour has it that Bro Andy G "mountain man" has started training already.

 
The Great Glen is a natural feature – a geological fault line
between Fort William and Inverness.
The area encompasses some of the best known landmarks
in Scotland including Ben Nevis, Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.
The Glen is a significant tourist attraction and major route
through the Highlands, between east and west.
 

 

 

Annual Installation

On Saturday we held the Annual Installation of the R.W.M. & his Office Bearers.

Charity Presentation

 

Today, 6/1/11, the R.W.M. & the I.P.M. visited the Simpson Special Care Babies Unit in Little France Hospital, Edinburgh.

We raised over £500 from the various charity events we ran last year & hope to continue to raise more this year, said the R.W.M.

Golf Day Announced- Saturday 27th August 2011

We have secured the Carrick Golf Course on the banks of Loch Lomond for our annual charity golf day. The 1st tee off will be at 10.50. There are only 24 places available so book yours quickly, The cost of the day is £50 which includes breakfast, 18 holes & high tea in the Claret Jug Restaurant.

The full cost of the day (£20 deposit + £30) must be paid in total by 30th June 2011.

All proceeds wil go to the Masters nominated Charity.

Past Masters Board

To replace the PM's board lost in the Ardery St fire in January 2009 the Lodge commisioned a new board to be made, PM's Wilson & Greg oversaw the design & build this is now with the sign writers to have the names of our Past Masters added.

It has taken us a while to get things just right, thanks to Alistair McTaggart a PM of Lodge Sir George Cathcart our new board look resplendant and most fitting as a remembrance to our Past Masters- said PM Greg.

 

Xmas Party

The R.W.M. has decided that the Lodge should reinstate the annual St Vincent childrens Xmas party; it's been over 30 years since we held our last party and it's about time we had another one, the master said.

The date & time of our party is Saturday 4th December from 1pm until 5pm & the venue is Ardery Masonic halls at a cost of £5 @ child.
 
More details will follow, my understanding is that Santa has been contacted and negotiations are at an advanced stage or his attendance.
Update- The party was a great success; "there was bedlam, with the kids all seeming to enjoy themselves" said PM Robin.

Masters Charity Walk

The RWM  visited on the 10/09/10 Erskine Hospital to hand over the monies raised by the "West Highland Way" walk during the summer.



Well done all who contributed to this total.

Golf Day- 2010
